The Beatitudes: Meek Not Weak

We continue our focused sermon series on the Beatitudes located within the Sermon on the Mount. The sermon is entitled “Meek Not Weak”, and the texts for the sermon are Psalm 37:1-11, Matthew 5:1-12, and Matthew 7:28-29.

In the Christian life, we often ask, “how should I live?” In the Beatitudes, we encounter the beginning and foundation of how we should live, which we are calling the Gospelized life. Each Beatitude presents with a different aspect of the Gospelized life. Jesus desires that all of these Beatitudes will take root in our lives, and make us more like Him.
