We are located in the heart of Oakesdale and committed to reaching out, spiritual growth, and to worship.

We gather for worship at 10:00 am on Sunday mornings.

Sunday mornings at Community Presbyterian Church of Oakesdale are a fun place! During the school year there is an Adult Bible Study at 9:00am in the sanctuary. We have one service at 10:00am in which we sing both modern praise songs and a traditional hymn. Childcare for is offered during the worship service for children from birth through the age of five. During the school year service there is a teaching moment for kids and then they are excused for Sunday School downstairs. After worship on the first Sunday of each month, we have a tradition of celebrating everyone with a birthday in the coming month. Please consider joining us for food, coffee, and good conversation in the church basement!

During the school year, we gather regularly for….

All age Sunday School, adults at 9am, children at 10am
All-Church Fellowship after church, 1st Sunday of the month
Communion, 1st Sunday of the month
Jr. Group, K-5th Grade Group meets monthly
Middle School events and Sunday School to begin in the future
Mid-Week Women’s and Men’s Bible Studies, meet weekly
Men’s Breakfast, 3rd Saturday of the month is on hiatus
Special Worship Services during Lent and Advent

Ministries

Children’s Ministry

During the school year, we regularly have:

A nursery for our youngest children, birth through age five
A children’s sermon during worship for all children
Sunday School for our elementary children, they are dismissed part way through worship. This year our children are learning the books of the Bible!
Children ages 3-5 can be in both the nursery and the Sunday School. Some weeks due to the numbers of children and volunteers, we may move our 3-5 year old children between the two rooms.
Jr. Group, K-5th Grade Group meets monthly, most often the last Wednesday of the month from 3:15pm to 5:00pm. It will resume in October.
Safety policy: to ensure the safety of your child, we do not change diapers during our childcare time but will notify you if your child has a need. To help keep your child healthy we will wash hands and toys regularly but we do ask that you help your child to wash their hands upon arrival when possible. Thank you!

Communication

The Mikelsons are on the move:

Our pastors, Joshua and Heather Mikelson, will be with us through Sunday, November 23, 2025. Then they will be packing up and moving to Western Colorado where Josh will serve at First Presbyterian Church of Grand Junction and Heather will serve the Presbytery of Western Colorado.
